I'm slowly getting closure, I guess it's really over

I had nothing else to say except that Harry Potter was awesome. It was so cool. Really worth watching! Good night!

And the title: Daughtry - Over You. And don't get it wrong, I'm not that big a Harry Potter -fan. I didn't cry at all. And I always cry. To me it all ended when the last book came out. Can you believe it really was four (!!!) years ago? But now I'm going.

Young and sweet, only seventeen – having the time of your life

You know what? This time I have lots of stuff to tell you! Finally.

I've had a busy few days. We spent the midsummer in Ă…land, the island in the middle of Finland and Sweden. We had fun, we cycled and enjoyed the holiday. Though my bicycle tire (Or do you call it a tire in a bicycle? Well, anyway.) went empty when we were leaving and I had to walk my bike to the ferry. And when I got home I had to take the bus with the bike. Quite an experience.

On Monday I had to take my sisters bike to work as my parents were away and I didn't know how to fix my tire. But, as I was adjusting the bike I sort of broke a screw and the saddle didn't stay up anymore. Oops. Then I had to take my mum's bike.

Well on Tuesday we were fixing the tire all day, as it didn't turn out that easy. First we had the wrong kinds, then we tried to patch the tire, but it didn't work out either as I broke it again after five kilometers while biking to the city. I took pictures for my driver's license. Horrible ones. I seriously almost cried 'cause the picture is so bad…

After work, at around 9pm my brother called that the others (as in my mum, my dad and him) had gone kayaking and I should go too. And so we did, and it was so much fun! It really made my bad day. When we returned home my parents drove to the city centre to a grill kiosk and we bought this thing that has french fries and sausages, and then cucumber salad (you know?) and then mayonnaise and such stuff. It's so good. There are just no words.

Well today we were again fixing my bike, and in the end when I came back from work I noticed now my front tire is empty. Just my luck. Well, but today I went swimming and then to a picnic with a friend. I also burned (again!) but tanned too. Now I have stupid tan borders (I don't know, again, whether that's what they're called, but you get the idea) though. But I'm not complaining as long as the weather stays like this.

But now I have to go, I have to make a card to a friend of mine who's turning eighteen. Yay.

A random picture but I love the Finnish archipelago.
And the title, as life really feels good now: ABBA - Dancing Queen

I don't know what to say

This is going to be, for a change, a post in which I actually have something to say. Nothing important, but anyhow.

There's this one thing that has been annoying me lately. You know when people girls upload photos of them in Facebook (or wherever) and everyone always has to comment "omg you look se pretty<3<3<3<3<33<3<3<3" and then they have to comment back "no i don't i look like shit you're the one who's pretty". That's actually two things.

Why do people always have to write the youaresopretty-comments to each other? I mean, yeah, when someone actually  has a nice photo you can comment if you have something to say. But I'd think it'd get sort of annoying when someone gets like a hundred comments to their picture from their friends. It's just so pretentious. People comment when they want to pretend to be "good" friends. Maybe not always but generally that's the case.

But what annoys me even more is the people who answer back that "no i don't you're just saying i'm ugly". Oh yeah right. If you think you look ugly in the picture then why the hell did you upload it. It's just so hypocrite. All they want is more people commenting that they're pretty. And that's when you end up with dozens of comments. All it'd take is a simple "thank you".

It's random, yeah, I know.

But enough of this. I started working today, was fun. There was this other girl too who started to day and she was even more lost than I was. Quite an achievement. But it was good to have someone else to be lost too so I didn't feel so stupid repeating the same questions over and over and over again. Besides the guy who was instructing us (and will be for the whole week) was good-looking. A few (or more) years older than us, I'd say maybe twenty-two (EDIT: He actually is twenty-two, he said that today) or something and probably gay. I don't know but you know he seemed to talk only to girls and dresses well and sounds like gay. I don't exactly know how you can define someone sounds gay but, well, he just sounds.

I work so you can get your pretty letters. Haha.

That's all for now I guess. My grandparents are staying over cause my parents are visiting St Petersburg. It's really sort of frustrating. Grandma is just stressing about everything and I can't go anywhere cause I have to help her here and to stuff with them and blah. And it's only been one day. Well, three more and then I'm as free as a bird and will have that two months of freedom I've been waiting for.

Now I'll head to bed, continue my book and eat some chocolate. I missed the Gossip Girl -episode today. Sniff. But the third season is off next week. I also consider starting to watch O.C. which I've never watched but the re-runs begin next week too.

But now I'm going. The title: Taylor Swift - The Story Of Us

P.S. They've started selling Starbucks chilled coffees over here. I've only had time to taste Seattle Latte. And I don't like coffee, but I liked it. Maybe I'm growing up. Haha.
EDIT: Now I've also tasted Aztlan Mocha Latte Chocolate Flavour. Not that good.

My other project over the summer is to taste all the Ben & Jerry's flavours we have here. The range is not nearly as big as on the other side but still. We have, what, 14 flavours according to the Finnish webpage, quite a bit smaller than your over 60 or so.

And can you believe we only got Vitaminwater here only this year? Not that I'm that interested on them. But still. Now I'm really going.

I got me a bouncy feeling

Back in business! Had a busy week last week.

On Thursday we left to a sort of a camp, we had a competition on Saturday and it was far away so we left early. We had so much fun. It was so relaxing, we didn't have too much to do and not too much people which suited me so well.

On Friday we visited Koli quickly, and what can I say, the view was incredible. Just check it out yourselves.

I was beautiful. On Saturday we had the competition. It wasn't that great but still. The forest was so cool. In the evening we cooked chicken wok with the girls. It was so good, like the best food I've ever cooked. I haven't cooked too much food though.

On Sunday it was time to pack and return home. The bus ride was l-o-n-g (we left at 9 am and were home at 9 pm). We watched Sound Of Music (love it, Julie Andrews is awesome!). It just makes you so cheerful, such a lovely movie. The we played card and such. The bus was so hot, it was like a sauna. It was such a beautiful day, it was a shame to sit in the bus but no can do.

I lost my voice over the weekend, but now it's returning. I suppose that's all I had to say this time. It's raining today, but it's so green outside! Exams start on Wednesday and there's two weeks school left! Then it's SUMMER.

And I just had to title the post with this:

I just love it. The Finnish version is better though. The video is for the Finnish song so it's sort of dubbed, that's why the lyrics don't match with what the dude is saying. It's from this sketch show, and he's making the voice really. It's not edited. My favourite part:

I got me a bouncy feeling,
don't throw me to the ceiling and
turn me into a modern painting.

Some may say I look just like an fat 'n bouncy ping pong ball!

Say "I am wonderful"

I have to share this. I absolutely fell in love with this song while watching Eurovision, and so did probably many, many others. I've heard it before but never actually realised what a great song it is.
Just listen to the lyrics. Absolutely beautiful.

The person that you were has died
You’ve lost the sparkle in your eyes
You fell for life - into its traps
Now you wanna bridge the gaps
Now you wanna bridge the gaps
Now you want that person back

And all your ammunition’s gone
Run out of fuel to carry on
You don’t know what you wanna do
You’ve got no pull to pull you through

Say “I am”
Say “I am”
Say “I am wonderful"

Say “I am”
Say “I am”
Say “I am wonderful"

If what you’ve lost cannot be found
And the weight of the world weighs you down
No longer with the will to fly
You stop to let it pass you by
Don’t stop to let it pass you by
You’ve gotta look yourself in the eye

Say “I am”
Say “I am”
Say “I am wonderful”
Oh you are

Say “I am”
Say “I am”
Say “I am wonderful”

'Cause we are all miracles
wrapped up in chemicals
We are incredible
Don’t take it for granted, no
We are all miracles
Oh we are

Say “I am”
Say “I am”
Say “I am wonderful”
Oh you are

Don’t take it for granted, no
We are all miracles
wrapped up, yeah we’re wrapped up
Oh we are wonderful

Oh well. The title: Gary Go - Wonderful.

P.S. There's the ice hockey championships final going on. Finland vs. Sweden, like the dream game ever. Too bad I'm not into hockey. Never have been. I'm thinking about going to break my principles and go watch. I don't know.

I get this feeling that time's just holding me down

It's been a while, but I've been crazy busy with school. And I still am. So I just thought to brighten up your day to share a few songs. Seriously, listen to these. It's a random sample, but the songs are awesome.

The Click Five - Addicted To Me

I've probably linked this one before but who cares? It's just... I can't explain.

Eagle Eye Cherry - Save Tonight

It's so catchy and just great.

Darin - Everything But The Girl

I love it. One of the greatest songs ever.

Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone

Just gotta love the 80's. And Top Gun. And Tom Cruise in it.

Enrique Iglesias - Tonight (I'm F**king You)

Great song. And hilarious at the same time. Dunno why. But I love how it's not censored or anything. The censored one is not nearly as cool as this one is.

And the title, like I already said, gotta love the 80's. I just watched Footloose today and, well, what can I say. Enjoy.

I go back to December all the time

It's December, finally. That means:
  • Christmas (can't wait!)
  • holidays (them either)
  • New Year
  • snow (love it)

Who doesn't love December?
December also means shopping for presents. And I must say that's not something I'm looking forward into, as I am really bad at buying presents. I can never think of things others would like. So I usually go with the traditional chocolate. Haven't heard anyone complain yet.
But as December also means nice weather (=snow) I'm going out now to enjoy some fresh air. Enjoy your December!
